Updates are cool, but we need them to be more engaging. In particular we want:

  • Stories - user provided, shorter lifetime contributions
  • Add commenting
  • push notifications for comments? but at least put them into activity stream
  • Fix the color contrast - News: foreground & link color almost never work together #1704
  • pre-load next slide to the right as well as below for faster user access
  • paginate the entire history
  • have read-markers
