At the moment the user has no feedback if the board is connected or not to the computer, or if it's busy or idle.

ToDo:

add some "keepalive checks" - verify once a second that a board is connected
track if it has an operation in progress or not
add an indicator in the frontend that display the status (disconnected / idle / busy)
