I'm getting regular emails from Wordpress that state Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue

Error Included

An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 277 of the file .../wp-content/themes/alps-wordpress-v3/app/carbon-fields/cf-theme-options.php. Error message: Uncaught ValueError: fread(): Argument #2 ($length) must be greater than 0 in .../wp-content/themes/alps-wordpress-v3/app/carbon-fields/cf-theme-options.php:277

@designerbrent This sounds a bit like an error you reported a few months ago, it looks like the theme.json file is missing or empty. Pretty sure this is being triggered by the part of the script that looks for the color palette in the theme file and resets it to the selected color palette. Are you able to select a color palette in the theme settings?

This seems like the same error that is reported by @cdbieling here: #735 (comment)

@claytonk I was able to change the theme color and then change it back.

@designerbrent Are you still getting the error after changing the color theme?

@claytonk so far, I haven’t gotten an email yet. I’ve never seen the error in the logs, just in the emails from WP. I’ll see if one comes in the next day or so.

@claytonk This didn't solve the problem for me. I'm still seeing the errors. The theme.json file is populated, BTW.

@hans-olson Not yet in the current theme. I worked this evening on the website, and the website crashed with the latest theme just now.
