"First, manually install JDK 1.6 or later" https://github.com/aegif/NemakiWare/wiki/Install
"JDK 1.7 以降" https://github.com/aegif/NemakiWare/wiki/%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB

Which one is correct?
Also, I have heard that 1.8 has some problems?

I'll fix that inconsistency in the documentation.
Actually, from version 2.4 on it is planned to support only Java 8+.

So, Java 8 is OK right now, if I understand correctly?
Also, why not use UTF-8 on the English page too? Most of the world needs UTF-8.
Thanks! :-)

Yes, you can already start using Java 8.
"Some problems" you heard might be that we refrain from upgrading some middlewares like Solr.
