grnboost2 scaling

I am interested in knowing how grnboost2 time scales with dataframe shape. On a high end laptop, I have run (10K, 2K) genes in a couple of hours, and (30K, 2K) in about 6-8 hours, and so if it scales linearly (80K, 2K) should not take longer than 24 hours but it does. I am interested in knowing if anyone knows how it scales so I can avoid abandoning a multi-day run that was just about to finish when I abandoned it.

My run finished at about 30 hours, so more than linear expectations but not much more. I conclude it scales roughly linearly.
