This works, but its a bit hacky... there are some lines of code that are not reachable that alter test coverage percentages

I wrote a similar plugin with latest istanbul dependencies, some coverage excludes for unreachable code and coverage reporting /w thresholds.
Currently it's part of our test utils: https://github.com/SAP/ui5-project/blob/3174d9f21f471252d2a39b8cb085eeeb5debe0a6/test/utils/AjvCoverage.js

I'd be willing to contribute my features to this project. @epoberezkin what do you think?
Otherwise I would create a separate project.
