Including Autocomplete CSS without a package manager?

The readme says, "If you don't use a package manager, you can use the HTML script element:"

This doesn't seem to pull in the CSS for the tool. I've done this and it shows up like the following at the bottom of my page:

You need to add this to your head:

You seem to have forgotten templates in your source. Check out Displaying Items with Templates.

I didn't forget anything. I copied and pasted the code example from the website.

Regardless, the code doesn't fetch results from the Aglolia index, so there's little point in proceeding.

Starting from scratch, I followed these instructions, which says:

"The recommended way to get started is with the autocomplete-js package. It includes everything you need to render a JavaScript autocomplete experience."
