[BUG] AppImage GUI disapears

Current Behavior

AppImage runs. After interacting with the GUI for a few seconds the content of the GUI window all disappears. Doing a "refresh" (CTRL-R) will bring the GUI back for a few seconds but it disappears again shortly.

Expected Behavior

Normal GUI behavior

Just run ./altair_8.0.1_x86_64_linux.AppImage
