Hi, I am the author of the free and open source Podman Desktop Companion tool, one of the first cross platform GUI tool for podman container engine, but not limited to podman.
As a full stack developer, I've been using both podman and trivy a lot in my daily professional life and I value them.
Late December last year I started building a tool that was missing from this ecosystem and today it arrived quite far, proud to present you an initial version with trivy integrated scanner for container images.
It might not have all the bells and whistles, but any feedback to make developers and devops lifes easier is highly valued.
Of course, it is no match for your own extension for the familiar engine, but I am aiming for it, trivy is just an incredibly valuable tool.
1.0 - First, when users visit Security section of a selected container engine image, if trivy is not installed, they are guide to install it
2.0 - Upon installation, users will be able to see a pretty detailed but also raw report, with vulnerabilities sorted by Severity
What do you think ?
PS - I don't have the media power of others, it is a project developed out of passion from this domain and from hearing colleagues, friends and world scene needs, while doing it in my free time, away from daily responsibilities - thank you for having this Show and tell section to help everyone.

A few hours ago https://github.com/iongion/podman-desktop-companion/releases/tag/4.1.0-rc.25 - of course I would like to take it further and allow users to know, from what layers does the information come and even propose resolution.
How it works
