Yesterday, I installed My-Weather-Indicator for the first time on MX Linux XFCE 21. My main desktop is LXDE, but as I also have installed Xfce, LXQT, and Fluxbox I decided to test this same app in all of them.

In all of them, except for Fluxbox (I still can't configure Fluxbox), only one icon appears on the panel, while on LXQT, two icons appear on the panel

Could you help me solve this situation?

Anyway, I want to thank you and congratulate you for the effort to develop this excellent app for us, it is already being very useful.

Here are the screenshots I took:

1: Xfce
xfce

2: Lxde
lxde

3: Lxqt
lxqt

4: Fluxbox
Fluxbox

Same issue on MX Linux with XFCE desktop. my-weather-indicator only shows single icon of weather condition, the temperature does not show next to icon. Is there something I can change in the configuration file to correct this?

This still occurs for me too using the latest version. The temperature is shown on the panel the first time I run the app (there's no configuration file), but then on subsequent runs it disappears. Also, if I uncheck the option "Show temperature", then re-enable it, the temperature is shown on the panel, but when I restart My Weather Indicator, the temperature is no longer displayed. I guess the option is not saved in the configuration file?

The temperature doesn't display in the system tray for Moksha Desktop (Bodhi Linux) either.

I did notice there are two system tray icons if I enable two cities... and I'm having difficulty changing the first city.

Additionally, a few weeks or months ago, the widget stopped being stuck to the desktop (it minimizes when I minimize all, and moves around just by draggging around). I realize this probably isn't a DE you likely test for, but some change caused this, cause it was fine for years before that, stayed stuck to the background and wouldn't move with simple drag (like conky.)

One last thing, it would be nice if the widget didn't show up as a window in plank dock, although dunno how to do that.

@logix2 what desktop do you have installed?

I'm using GNOME Shell (GNOME 44 on Ubuntu 23.04).

On ubuntu 23.04 there seems to be an issue with my-weather-indicator. I have not seen the problem with any other ubuntu release. Not 22.04 and not 22.10. When I login to the desktop everything works but if i leave the machine and let it go to sleep and then logs in again, no temperature is displayed. If I refresh with Update weather, the temperature comes back. This is for the latest release: 0.10.5-0extras23.04.00. Perhaps something has changed concerning gnome here in this aspect.
