Looks like you've found beeware/toga#1878. At present, the only fix is to use an older version of Toga, or upgrade your version of Android to API 29 (Android 10) or newer.

I'm not sure what you've done, but you haven't succesfully downgraded your toga install, because that code includes references to lines that don't exist in Toga 0.3.0

I'm not sure what you're trying to communicate with that - but based on the paths being provided, it looks like you've successfully upgrade toga in your local environment. That doesn't mean your Android app has been updated.

That the stack trace you provided indicates that it is finding:

Toga 0.3.0 doesn't have a line 17 in Graphics.py, so somehow, your app isn't picking up the new code.

The easiest solution I have is to delete the app from your phone, and delete the build directory in your project, and start clean.

You're clearly doing something very wrong - but because you're not providing any meaningful details, it's impossible to say what you're doing wrong. Toga 0.2.0 didn't support Android at all - so if you're getting an error talking about loading android.graphics.text.LineBreaker you're still running Toga 0.3.1.

My best guess is that you haven't updated the place where the toga dependency is actually defined - your pyproject.toml.
