Describe the problem you are having

I know this has been covered before but for the life of me this hasn't ever happened until today so I am not sure. I have an area masked off but I still got a person detected in this area

look where the bottom center pixel is of the person box, it is not inside of the mask so if this were an object mask it would not stop it.

You are also showing a motion mask not object mask which will not stop objects from being detected

Thanks, thats the trick.

I think this is due to the new Frigate+ model. It is a lot more accurate. I know our back neighbors have walked around back there before, but now the model is just that much better.

Closed it since it is solved, but in followup to your 2nd question, I think this is what I want. I don't want motion to trigger in that area, but if motion happens elsewhere and there is someone in that area it will trigger. Think of somebody throwing rocks?

yes, and that is how it works. The person was detected because motion occurs near the person outside of the motion mask.
