[HW Accel Support]: Support for Intel Arc GPU?

Describe the problem you are having

I got a new Beelink GTi14 today and wanted to try Frigate on it. This machine has the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processor 185H with Intel Arc Graphics.

I tried the default Intel GPU setting in my docker-compose.yml file with "/dev/dri/renderD128" however, I'm getting an error: ""/dev/dri/renderD128": no such file or directory".

I'm not sure how to determine the correct value for the Intel Arc GPU.

Anyone have a suggestion?

The value is correct, the error means the driver is not installed on the host correctly

Run vainfo on the host. What is your host OS?

This is on Debian 12. Do you think this was because I chose the non-graphical install method?

When I ran vainfo: "sudo: vainfo: command not found"

I thought I'd be clever and do a "sudo apt install vainfo" and then run it. It installed, but the result was:

error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is invalid or not set in the environment.
error: can't connect to X server!
error: failed to initialize display

No, that is fine. Your driver is not installed. You should run sudo apt install intel-media-va-driver-non-free

I really appreciate your assistance with this. Here's what happened when I ran that:

sudo apt install intel-media-va-driver-non-free

You can try installing the intel apt repo and getting the latest driver see intel docs
