Idiots guide to getting email notifications?

I've been playing with a frigate install for a few months, I like it and it seems to work well. Why doesn't it have the ability to send simple emails for notification? As it is I just use it to record and review footage and have the cameras themselves email if they detect anything as it's simple to configure the individual cameras to send emails.

It's not as simple as you're making it out to be. Also, everyone has their own preferred notification method so it's easiest for users to use the MQTT output and send notifications however they want

Frigate 0.15 supports browser notifications, which works great especially when frigate is installed as an app
