Use Query Resolvers in custom api

Hi, in my file app/api/test.ts I am getting data like this from a resolver api /queries/getData.ts, every thing work fine
But is this the right way to use Query Resolvers?

  const deals = await getData({ searchInput: "abc" }, { session }); // I pass session here
  return res.json(deals);
