"Blocked Post" for post replying to me from a user with no block relationship (probably related to old abusive blocklists) #7789

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate in the browser to https://bsky.app/profile/exxzackly.bsky.social/post/3likoaox7jk2z
  2. Observe that this post says the reply is in response to a blocked post
  3. Note that there is no block relationship between the user in question (exxzackly.bsky.social‬) and me (aaronsofaer.bsky.social), whom the post is replying to

Additional Information

zack (the user in question) was once subscribed to a now-notorious blocklist whose deletion has spawned many issues. The issues related to this were supposed to be addressed by bluesky-social/atproto#3192 a couple of weeks ago, but this remains and I suspect it's related.

That does sound like maybe the issue hasn't been fully fixed by bluesky-social/atproto#3192.

As a temporary workaround – of course the root cause needs to be fixed – zack might want to have a look through the listblock records in their repo on PDSls and delete ones that are referring to lists that have been deleted (I noticed a few just clicking around randomly). Of course, if the ID for the notorious blocklist is known that can be searched for directly:
