@jakirkham I'm not actually sure. I think I still had some issues, but I'm not sure if they were related to IPython 4.0 support or nosebook in general. Does the current version work for you now?

Also, I think Travis tests for IPython 4.0 should also be added.

I seem to have unit tests errors with IPython 4.0, would need to take a look on those.

So, we did this conversion awhile back for runipy. Having Travis CI configured for all cases was really helpful. Here is what our config file looks like. Feel free to lift any of it that you deem necessary. Basically, we use conda to make life simple and control the starting environment. In one case, we let setuptools install everything.
