First - great add on and documentation. I've had it working for over a year, and am able to successfully access home assistant both from the browser and companion app on my iPhone when away from home. However the app on my phone has never been able to push location updates when I'm away from home - it works fine on wifi - so I finally decided to try and work out why.
When I'm away from home / connected via the internet the companion app works just fine. I can see dashboards, turn lights on, view and change settings etc.
To test I force a location update
Settings - Companion app - Location - Update location
A progress indicator spins for a second or so and that's it.
To check the log
Settings - Companion app - Debugging - Event Log
This shows ...
Network Request
Failed to fetch states on server Home
{
"error" : "<html>\r\n<head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head>\r\n<body>\r\n<center><h1>403 Forbidden</h1></center>\r\n<hr><center>cloudflare</center>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n"
}
This appears to suggest a 403 error from Cloudflare?
Looking at the detailed logs for the relevant time ...
Again the 403 error. There's a successful web socket connection, then one that fails, and then another successful one.
I have looked around in Cloudflare. Most troubleshooting guides seem to point to the security events tab under the domain. No events are listed. I can't find any log of anything relevant in the Cloudflare dashboard.
For those of you using Cloudflare, do location updates work for you?
And does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
