Hi,

I am working on enhancements that I would like to share by merging with the main branch. I just realized I am not writing code that works with Python 2.7.

Is there any reason to continue to write Python 2.7 compatible code? I have not written in Python 2.7 for years.

Thanks,
Chuck

Hi Chuck! While I'm not aware of the actual "demographics" of users of this library, I believe we could drop Python 2.7 support for next releases.

When I started the Python 3 porting work, it was still 2016 and it still made sense to keep 2.7. But now I think we could drop it altogether.
