Set up monthly email newsletter in Hubspot for Cal-ITP Benefit product updates

What: We need a monthly email newsletter set up in Hubspot for Cal-ITP Benefit product updates to be sent once a month (loosely tied with sprints). Meant to be something in which the content can be created for in ~15-20 minutes each month.

Copy: Proposal to include the following (1) Any product releases (2) any new agencies added/ or new pathway configured for existing agency (3) a .png of metabase dashboards (must have descriptive alt text) (4) a call to action (ie: “email [email protected] to request a demo”)

When: Once a month

Recipients: Contacts at onboarded agencies, interested stakeholders

To do:

• Create a subscriber list (item 2)
• Mock up a template for this email (item 1)
• See about setting up recurring github issue each month (item 4/nice to have) DECISION: open up issues manually for now
• Source content for first email (goal to send in Jan April. First email to cover all of Q1. From there, content will only cover the previous month) (item 3)

A meeting was held on 3/7 to confirm the scope for this effort. The first email blast is planned to go out the first week of April, and March will be used to get the basic infrastructure in place.

@indexing I've put some time into getting the email template set up for this. I tagged you in a few comments within Hubspot, but I know sometimes folks don't get those, so I'm tagging you here, too, just in case! Let me know if you'd like to chat about the template at any point - happy to do so or keep things async as much as possible.

First email was sent on April 4. Metrics can be tracked here.

From this first email, a reusable template called "Benefits Monthly Product Update Template" was also created and can be used as a starting place going forward.

Given both those updates (and the decision to manually open issues each month for sending out the next edition, at least for the near future), this issue is being closed.
