Limit the amount of miners players can place

So might be a weird question, but is there any way of limiting the amount of miners that a player can place?
Because 1 friend of mine just places like 40 of them if not more and it starts to really cause lag on the server.

I'm afraid not, no.

That is very odd though. 40 turtles shouldn't be enough to cause lag — most of the time turtles are idle (they only do something once every 8 ticks), so they shouldn't be that resource intensive. Would you be able to take a spark profile and share it?

I don't think computercraft is mainly making the lag here. As you can see it only used 0.13ms/loop compare to AE2 is spending 5ms.

So looking at the profile, the big stand out here is that 20% of tick time is being spent running /execute commands. Have you got a bunch of command blocks (or command computers) running anything each tick?

Otherwise, I'm afraid most of what's in this profile is standard Minecraft stuff (mostly mob/entity ticking). There's ~800 entities loaded, which isn't oodles, but might be worth seeing if there's anything which can obviously be culled (e.g. a mob farm which is leaking mobs).

Block entities (which is what turtles are) do contribute a bit, but not very much (<7%). Most of that is hoppers and industrial revolution machines. AE2 is also being surprisingly slow (~5% of tick time), but probably not a big thing to worry about.

I know for a fact that i don't have any commands blocks or anything that would execute commands, perhaps a mods that uses a lot of commands.

Hrrm, and no datapacks either? Not quite sure what triggers this code path in vanilla, will take a look.

I'm afraid otherwise this mostly looks like the same causes as before — entities, followed by AE2 and Industrial Revolution. Turtles only show up as taking 0.5% of the time, so 0.25mspt — definitely not something to worry about!
