We need a serialisation format that will let us store the predictor state, the recommender state, and the labeller state. We need to be able to store both a key/value header and binary data. I advocate FITS.

(Plus some way to convert predictor/recommender/labeller into binary. I suggest using proto again but with a pure-Python protoc)
