Having trouble getting your driver to work under BigSur (VM) and was wondering if anyone can help.
(Disclaimer: I am quite experienced with everything IT incl. Linux/Unix based Systems. But never really used MacOs. So apologies if something I write below may be irrelevant)
Enviroment:
I have Big Sur Version 11.0.1 installed in a VM on ESXi host. Plain no Clover or whatever.
I tried a Archer T2U previously without success. At the moment I have a Netger a6100 connected to the VM.
I disabled SIP and for good measure „kext-consent“:
_
macostestclient@Mac-von-MacOS-Testclient MacOS % sudo csrutil status
System Integrity Protection status: disabled.
macostestclient@Mac-von-MacOS-Testclient MacOS % sudo spctl kext-consent status
Kernel Extension User Consent: DISABLED
macostestclient@Mac-von-MacOS-Testclient MacOS %
_
Used package: Wireless USB Big Sur Adapter-V-7
Install worked fine. Other than that I did not had the option/need to Allow stuff in Security settings like I saw in one of your videos (but not sure if still required).
But the end result is that the „StatusBarApp“ says: „USB-WIFI not connected“.

One thing I noticed though is that the Info.plist of this StatusBarApp does not contain the Product ID. But it is listed on your side as supported. And why not it’s just an RT 8812AU. (Have not checked this with the T2U but same behavior)
Another thing I noticed, and also really unsure if it needs to work, if I try to load the installed kext manually I get:
_
macostestclient@Mac-von-MacOS-Testclient Extensions % sudo kextload -v 6 RtWlanU.kext
Kext user-space log filter changed from 0xff2 to 0xfff.
Kext kernel-space log filter changed from 0xff2 to 0xfff.
Kext library architecture set to x86_64.
Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/RtWlanU.kext
Extension with identifiers com.realtek.driver.RtWlanU1827,com.realtek.driver.RtWlanU not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences.
_
But I do NOT get anything I can confirm in Preferences/Security… (And also „kext-consent“ is disabled as stated before)

Any Idea what might be the issue?
Thanks
