In the demo directory, I think we can have demo "categories" so that it doesn't become a big mess. I suggest categorizing by the type of application that we place in each actual demo as sub-dirs of the category

If projects get big maybe they can go to different repos?

How do we organize this so that it grows in somewhat standard form?

We agreed in to have a categorization in demos/README.md. Each project must indicate at least OS (standalone, FreeRTos, Linux) and complexity (beginner, intermediate, advanced?). I think that we can separate the file in sections for each OS, and subsections with complexity. the thing is, I propose to create this categorization when demos be there, to avoid a file full of sections without content. Maybe will could specify it in CONTRIBUTIONS.md?

@gguichal what about to solve this issue? My suggestions are:

  • Fill the doc/README.md file (but nothing to put there yet)
  • Write a note in CONTRIBUTIONS.md
  • Close the issue without changes and when demos available, they could be categorized.
