When viewing the ebook converted by KCC on my Kindle Paperwhite 11 splaying some pages of the manga with inverted colours/brightness. The same situation occurs when using Calibre with the Kindle Comics Plugin to convert the CBZ to a Mobi/AZW3. The files look normal when opened on my desktop computer. It will display the image correctly if I swap to light mode instead of darkmode, but then some but not all other pages will be inverted instead.

When reading manga in Dark Mode, open your device's Dark Mode settings before opening the document. If you switch modes while reading, some pages may appear inverted until you flip through them. While most manga panels will display correctly after this, certain content like sketches may remain inverted. For the best experience, always enable Dark Mode before opening your manga.

Unfortunately I was already in darkmode and it is still displaying some images inverted. Flipping back and forth through pages does not cause them to display correctly. I can only assume there is some sort of incorrect metadata on the page images or the archive itself flagging them to be inverted based on darkmode/lightmode of the device.

If you open the book in light mode does issue still happen?

If you could provide a smaller test file that'd be easier to test. Just a few pages in a zip is fine

Switching to lightmode before opening it does prevent the inverting, thats interesting. Good enough work around for now though I'm still curious as to what actually causes it. I'll see about putting together a zip with a few of the offending pages tomorrow.

That sounds like a Kindle bug, not a file bug.
