Race over feature

The ability to enable a race is over the announcement.

Support for both single and multi-pilots.

For the first phase, a suggestion has been made -- add a toggle to announce the end of laps for each pilot -- e.g. "{pilot name} finished {placement} with time {time}"

Further discussions on scenarios - race configuration:

• Should there be a maximum time for a race? What happens to flyers who may not have completed race in window of time?
• What/when is a race considered finished -- e.g. placement has been recorded and maximum time elapsed, OR placements 1/2/3 have finished, etc.

This proposed feature would be a fantastic enhancement.

Announcing the race winner would introduce an exciting new layer to the competitions, especially with the capability to customize placeholders with unique titles like "Grand Champion" for finals or humorous ones like "Whoop Wizard." The prompt could play before the name and time announcement to emphasize the moment of crossing the finish line.

Incorporating a maximum time option might also be beneficial, designating pilots who exceed this time as DNF (Did Not Finish).

We could consider a race finished when all pilots have crossed the finish line, the maximum allowed time has expired, or the top 3 have completed the race (although the timer would continue to record the times for those in 4th place and below, as long as they finish their last lap within the maximum race time). Like other motorsports, lapped racers would end their race on the current lap once the first-place pilot has finished.

On a lighter note, another fun idea could be to assign a custom mp3 track for each pilot and play the winner's song when they cross the finish line. Just imagine the extra thrill of victory, accompanied by your personal victory anthem! ;) same would go for voice prompts.

Implementing phase one and hearing "1st place" or "Winner" when crossing the finish line will be a huge new feature.

Yes, an announcement as suggested (as each pilot completes their final lap, name position & total time) would be a great addition.
Then a subsequent update with the option of adding a "final announcement" once the race is over.
Both with configurable options regarding contents.
But the requirements would be different depending on the chosen race format.
So options regarding the race format would need to be configurable too, along the lines of what PilotExtreme suggested.
