Giuliano will describe the problem statement end to end and will take steps to see what solutions and what work needs to be done

• Simulate the failure-rate under conditions of bullet 3
• Understand what DHTs allow for range queries that mitigate these issues
• Want to understand the requirements for a DHT for a system like Codex
• Want to locate a dataset by its hash but may be fragmented across many nodes, no one node holds all fragments, can only announce Merkle Root of dataset, what are the implications of doing this? many nodes have a piece of it but have varying availability of the pieces - mitigation via range queries but murky area in DHT land for differing solutions, unclear what works and what doesn't
