Change Password for Actual Budget

Hi Everyone,

I installed Actual Budget yesterday using the script and set a password not realizing that there is no user management and all users have to use the same password. I want to change it now to something I want to share. I tried the methods described on the Actual Budget page but they don't work . Anyone has any idea how to do this or do I have to install it again?

The first question they would probably ask is "How is it installed" and I wouldn't even know what to answer. Guess that is the drawback of using these scripts you don't actually know what is happening under the hood unless you study the script.....but than you might as well install it manually.

I'm not really seeing how the way something is installed has any effect of how the application is coded and how it handles login passwords... anyway, its a question for their github, not ours
