A recent batch of genomes from Singapore has been classified as XBB even though they appear to have the lineage defining variants S:G252V and ORF8:G8*:
I don't have access to the raw genomes - possibly also brought about by some contamination or other sequencing issue - but worth keeping an eye on, because at face value it appears as if XBB is replacing XBB.1.

Hi

I believe it's scorpio related, as Nextclade classifies most of them correctly:
https://cov-spectrum.org/explore/Singapore/AllSamples/from=2022-09-15&to=2022-10-17/variants?nextcladePangoLineage=XBB&
I don't have access to the raw genomes - possibly also brought about by some contamination or other sequencing issue - but worth keeping an eye on, because at face value it appears as if XBB is replacing XBB.1.
