How to take a poll

This page describes how to take a poll using Google Docs.

Setup the poll

• With your browser, open https://docs.google.com
• If not already signed in as lwgchair, sign out and sign in as lwgchair
• Go to the Drive screen if no there already.
• Click on the Polls folder
• Click Create, and then from the menu that appears, Form
• Replace "Untitled form" with "Poll #", where # is the current poll number
• Replace "You can include any text or info that will help people fill this out" with "Eligibility to vote is determined by your email address, so please vote with your usual email address."
• Fill in Question Title with "LWG Issue #", where # is the issue number.
• Fill in Help Text with description of issue.

Close the poll

View the poll results
