A more general way to define this, would be to give two arrays of precomputed theta values for on and off measurements.

Why does it work only for simulated data?
Ok everything is called simu_ but to compute it on a real source, you could pass the reconstructed values and the expected values, no?

For a real source, you would also want to plot off events with a weight alpha
