The DTS-UHD P2 audio format meets the WAVE requirement with existing market relevance. It is marketed under the consumer brand “DTS:X” and is an audio option for content branded as “IMAX Enhanced”. DTS-UHD P2 is supported by at least three Digital Media Service Providers, including:

Sony Pictures Core (DTS-UHD P2 content coming later this year) DTS-UHD P2 playback is supported by at least 5 Digital Media Playback Devices, including products currently available from the following manufacturers: Sony televisions Hisense televisions Sharp televisions Xiaomi televisions Microsoft (Windows) – Platforms such as Xbox, Laptops etc, Sound Unbound can be installed and will support DTS-UHD P2 playback. and many other TV brands.

Note: To meet the WAVE Media Profile ‘open standard’ requirement, the media profile in question must have been developed following an open specification process which supports independent implementations, or is in the process of being published under such a process.
