Note: The Designated proponent is responsible for providing all deliverables necessary to meet the WAVE Media Profile requirements.

Market relevance

Meet at least one of the following conditions.

Codec with existing market relevance

  1. Digital Media Service Providers (at least 3):

    1. Amazon Prime Video
    2. YouTube
    3. Rakuten
    4. Google Play Movies
  2. Digital Media Playback Devices available in the market (at least 5):

    1. Samsung UHD & 8K Televisions (since 2016) and Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets (since 2019)
    2. Vizio P-Series Televisions (since 2018)
    3. Panasonic UHD Televisions (since 2018)
    4. Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Cube 4K
    5. OnePlus Android Q Phone
    6. Vivo Android Q Phone
    7. Xiaomi Android Q Phone

Note:

  • Chipset support from over 20 SoC makers such as Amlogic, MediaTek, Novatek, Qualcomm (Snapdragon 855 and 865), Samsung, Socionext, VSilicon
  • Over 100 adopting companies of HDR10+ Logo and Certification program, http://hdr10plus.org/

Test Content

Timeline: Test Content is available for HDR10+ OTT implementations and HDR10+ Technologies LLC operates a certification program. The WAVE-specific test content can be supplied (timeline is TBD)

Conformance Tools

Timeline: Conformance tools are available for HDR10+ through Samsung; Samsung will work with WAVE to develop and implement WAVE-specific conformance tools (timeline is TBD)
