WAVE Test Specification 5.3.1 proposes test case metadata to describe each test case. The aims include providing a unique id; a specific assertion derived from testable requirement(s); a link between the specifications sections and the actual test case; a procedural description of how the test operates; and machine-readable metadata that would allow conditional mandatory tests to be mapped to a device's capabilities.
TBD: Proposal is that this be an XML file to allow options for automation and semi-automation of running test suites?
TBD: Are the proposed metadata fields sufficient for Device Playback testing? Is anything missing? Or are they too much? (current proposal is based on other device test conformance regimes that are in operation).

I propose that since the definition of the metadata and the format has been suggested in tctf-00013 and everyone has had ample time to review and comment this issue be closed as resolved.
