January 2019 Update

During the January 2019 MaLT meeting, we discussed suggestions made as an outcome of service desk observations in Nov - Dec 2018, which included a recommendation to reconsider content of circulation display:

Think about the potential for 2 types of signs:

  • one that would highlight circulating items and their due dates
  • a second that might show what's happening at Mann (classroom, lobby, and meeting room reservations)

March 2019 Update

During the March 2019 MaLT meeting, we created two working groups to research and propose designs for displaying information focused on the following audiences:

  1. Patrons
  2. Staff

September 2020 Update

The Circ desk is closed for Fall 2020 during COVD-19 pandemic. The old circdisplay is the last remaining holdout from the legacy app which will be decommissioned during the week of 2020-09-21.

In its place, we plan on launching the following two signs later this Fall (#180):

Sign 1

  • Building hours via LibCal
  • Live occupancy via Sensource SafeSpace

Sign 2

  • Upcoming events via Localist
