I've managed to get Weblate to work with my fork of Setzer. It's required to add the translation template and some more changes that I will make now in a PR. I can set it up if you want and give you the permissions, we have 14 days to configure it before asking for Libre hosting. Or I can try again with my fork and make screenshots to the process, as you prefer.

Are #90, #160 and #232 going to be merged? Those po files would have to be updated with the latest changes to avoid conflicts with Weblate because of the file names in POTFILES that have been added, renamed or deleted.

They can be merged through Weblate when it's set up.

The license is not correct btw.: it has to be "GPL 3 or later", not "3 only".

It's almost ready, I've enabled two add-ons: Update LINGUAS file and Update PO files to match POT (msgmerge), they should take care of adding new languages to LINGUAS file when they are added and update PO files when translation template is updated in master. We are only missing the first configuration here: https://hosted.weblate.org/guide/setzer/application/ that has to be done in GitHub settings. After that, we could request approval for Libre hosting or unlock and let contributions come in before requesting it.

Hey, I don't think we should just merge the PR through Weblate before consultation. One of them is WIP as well. Maybe you can ask the authors on here.

I guess it's because there has been no change in the repository after activating it.

Great, everything is working as expected. All the guidelines and conditions to request approval for Libre hosting are met, you can now apply by adding the additional message they request.

Haven't heard back from Weblate. Btw. can I close the PRs about spanish and portoguese now that I merged the Weblate one?

It shouldn't take much longer, in other projects it hasn't been more than a week. Yes, you can close them.

What about the french translation? Have you heard back from the translator? Because it seems that it has been added also, and it was marked WIP before.

No, I don't know anything yet. It was added but removed right after with 9721678, I tried to remove the commits with the CLI that Weblate has, but it wasn't possible. I don't know if it could have been done in the PR.
