Tag an initial release

I understand that the project is still experimental as of now, but I'd love to start packaging it for various distributions (my interest right now is in porting this to FreeBSD). Would you be willing to tag an initial release version? Something like a 0.1.0 or 0.0.1 release to emphasize that it is still experimental.

Thanks for the incredible project, I see a great future for this!
