Thanks @cdipe - adding support for the mobile app is a decent chunk of work - not something I'm planning to implement as a volunteer, but feel free to reach out if you would like to fund development on this.
Hi @danmarsden, how much money are we talking about?
I have suggested to the Moodle Users Association that Dialogue should be funded by the MUA to become part of moodle core, since this module covers basic yet essential functionality that any LMS should have.
IMO - adding dialogue to moodle core would be a bad idea - the code and structure of this plugin just isn't up to the standards required and it would be better to extend existing core user-to-user functionality. Moodle HQ does have some plans to improve communication tools in future, but MUA could potentially fund a project that made the forums or other core communication tools provide similar functionality to Dialogue - rather than trying to fund updates to dialogue or trying to get it into core.
If you wanted to fund it privately you are probably aware I work for the Moodle Partner Catalyst IT, feel free to reach out and I can put some ballpark estimates together.
When using the Dialogue in the Moodle App, the module must be opened in a web browser instead.
Using Moodle 3.9.7
