How to get an read messsage from a Telegram group?

Hi guys, i am having a hard time trying to understand how to get a message from a chat group.

I raed here https://docs.madelineproto.xyz/docs/UPDATES.html but seems to be overkill, but I am not sure about that.

And when i compare with the basic connection client (below) it can be quient challenging to know how to use the code to add the message events to get messages from a channel.

How can I add to the basic client the capabilty to read any upcoming messages from a channel?
