Is this valid? Is there ever a use case, where a java or xml file in the src/ directory shouldn't be verified/trimmed?
maybe if we had a large project, and wanted to phase in the application of the whitespace trimming?

Perhaps not .java or .xml files, but being able to specify that .properties (or .anything) files should be also trimmed would be very useful.
