Is this your first time submitting a feature request?
I have searched the existing issues, and I could not find an existing issue for this feature
Describe the feature
Add an indication that dbt-athena-community is deprecated (assuming that is the case - can't find a clear indication in the readme et al) when it is installed or used.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Update docs, readme, package info (should do that anyway if the old package is effectively deprecated!) No other communication channels seem likely to reach the majority of consumers. Can see it already causing a bit confusion in the issues, can see an awful lot of daily downloads for community right now
Who will this benefit?
Existing consumers auto-update to latest dbt-athena-community (like me) who might assume they are on the latest version of the adapter but would be incorrect
Existing consumers who are pinned to and old version and update, not realising that the latest dbt-athena-community is deprecated
Are you interested in contributing this feature?
Sure, seems like it should be pretty trivial
Anything else?
I was checking Snyk and noticed that dbt-athena had suddenly released a new version. First thought was that the original maintainer had been compromised and an attack might be underway - nowhere in the readmes and docs I looked at was there any clear statement about what was going on, all looked a bit dodgy at first!! I'm assuming it's all legit but the setup guide still references dbt-athena-community and the package info on dbt-athena is very confused referring to latest as 1.9.0 and 1.8.4? Is it legit?
