Describe the bug
Been taking a lot of pics. End of each day, I favourite the best selection. The next morning all the hearts are gone for the previous day, and I need to do it again. It eventually sticks.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to All Collection
  2. Click on first photo for that day
  3. Flick through, favouriting a few
  4. See them when you select the heart on the bottom tool bar.
  5. Check the all collection the next day, hearts gone (just on yesterday's picks)
  6. select heart on bottom top bar
  7. No pics from yesterday show up

Expected behavior
Photos that are favourited, stay that way.

Please attach logs.

Did this problem appear with an upgrade of Aves, or you've always had this issue?

Do you move the files with another app after handling them in Aves?

Sorry, I forgot the logs. 😅

aves-logs-20241007_071627.txt

Process has been, take photos.
Open Aves.
Flip through and favorite a few.
Close app or lock my screen.
Then usually, open camera and repeat.

No moving or copying.
Seems to be when I fav pics on the day I take them.

I'm new to Aves, only installed this month. And not sure there's been an update in that time. So far, I think the problem has always been there, but taken till now to find the pattern/repro.

I did it again yesterday to test and it happened again. Today, yesterday's pics lost the favorite.

Thanks for the details.

Do you launch Aves directly from your camera app to review your pictures and toggle them as favourites, or you launch Aves normally (from home/app drawer)? If you launch via your camera app, what camera app do you use?

I launch from a home app icon.
Apparently I can't set it as a default directly from camera on my Samsung. The camera is always linked to Gallery app.

Me neither, would be very interesting to see if this could be changed and Aves to be linked to the camera app.
