I have tried the latest version off the trunk in github and it is definitely further along in terms oh H265 support than the latest released version of the vdk package and sub packages. Unfortunately, it seems to still be incomplete as am not able to play video off an H265 camera.

I assume H265 support is coming soon. Since I am not a developer on this project I cannot comment on when we may expect official support. I hope someone from the development team for this project responds.
