Much of the DFXML history is tied to The SleuthKit. DFXML as a standard should be tool-agnostic. It would be worthwhile to assign current elements (such as meta_type) and future annotations (such as inlining arguments one would pass to TSK tools) a namespace.

I propose adding this namespace:

xmlns:tsk="http://www.forensicswiki.org/wiki/Sleuthkit"
