Hi, this fix makes the games run great on deck but there's an issue from Ryza 2 onwards by which loading screeen can sometimes freeze. Is this something that can be solved within this fix or looked at by the dev? Thanks so much for the fix!

Is there a way dev can look at the freezing problems on deck/linus in later games like ryza 3? Thanks

The freezing issue is not caused by this. It's likely a deadlock within the game itself that gets triggered very often on Proton, but I managed to make Sophie 2 freeze even on Windows with native D3D11 at one point while trying to test something.

Can confirm this increases the FPS on the menu from 15 to 27 on Atelier Ryza 2 with default (everything very high) settings. I lowered the shadows a bit and it suddenly jumped to 40 FPS, thanks to this fix.

I'm using Proton-GE-8.12 (newest one as of now), along with Lutris, if that would help. I juts put the .dll file next to the exe, and nothing else.

Edit: Dropping some shadow and particle settings from high to medium gives me 50+ fps on Steam Deck.

Have you ever found a fix for this????

Hello there, I got tired of Ryza 2 crashing all the time when changing areas on my Deck so I removed this mod, the FPS tanked hard but I managed to play something like 8 hours straight (across several sessions, I always put the deck to sleep then resumed) without a single crash. I am pretty sure the hang\crash when loading a new area is caused by this mod unfortunately :(

It just happened to me with wine-ge on a regular PC and I didn't even know about this mod.
