I often have small tables in my notes, e.g. for a few costs I want to list and sum up.
Solution
Editing a markdown table is cumbersome, I am missing formulas and other features I know from Excel.
Could I use Obsidian-Univer for the editing, and then embed the resulting file into my other note? For instance with transclusion that will only display the nonempty part of my spreadsheet?

Agree - this would be awesome. Sheet Plus plugin already has something like this (https://github.com/ljcoder2015/obsidian-sheet-plus). However, I need to use Univer as I like to interact with actual Excel files
