I have been asked about adding "hotseat multiplayer" to the game before, and while I think it would be nice to add at some point in the future, it is currently a low-priority feature for two main reasons:
The main target audience for the game is players who want to play board games together, but can't for some reason, be that because of distance or due to the pricing of high-end board games.
The engine that the game uses, Godot, has a particular multiplayer system in place, where one instance/window of the game is always one "client", with an ID assigned by the lobby server. This makes it somewhat complicated to add a hotspot feature, since it suddenly requires one instance of the game to be able to act as multiple different clients with various IDs.
I can tag this as a future feature of the game, but it will be a while before any progress is made in this regard, I'm afraid.
Hello everyone, I’m new here and I’m not very familiar with this project yet.
I have a table with a touchscreen that I use to play board games in hotseat mode with friends.
I’ve been looking for software that allows each player to have their “own hand” on a tablet, enabling smoother gameplay just like in a real game.
I would really appreciate it if there was some hope of having something like this...
