Errors with importing DICOM from 3D slicer

Hello, I'm a postgraduate student and this is my first time using matRad, so I appreciate any help this community can give.

Essentially I need to perform resampling and rigid registration on two CT DICOM files, then perform dose calculation. The process involves using 3D Slicer to resample and register, exporting the registered CT as DICOM files, then Load DICOM using matRad.

However, when I tried to do the last step of loading DICOM using matRad, I got the following error:

Warning: Update failed Queried world coordinate is outside the ct

To debug, I imported the CT DICOM on 3D slicer and exported into DICOM files without resampling or registering or making any other changes, and I still get the same error.

There are also no issues with the original DICOM files, as there were no issues directly importing them on matRad.

Appreciate any help on this!

The error means that some coordinates are inconsistent. In the new version 3.1.0, it happens when you, at some point, want to find an index in the ct from a coordinate which is not within the bounds of the CT.
This can, for example happen, when the isocenter is outside the CT. Since it happens during the DICOM import, it might also be related to trying to find the voxel indices of the contours in the RTStruct. It might be that Slicer somehow changes the coordinates and then they are inconsistent. But to be sure, I would need more information on when the error happens exactly and what settings exactly you are choosing in the DICOM import.
We'll try to reproduce the problem sometime next week.

Thanks for the reply. There were no RTStruct files, so it shouldn't be caused by that.

This was the DICOM import setting I used:

I did notice that when I imported the DICOM file, it told me to choose a directory to save the .mat file, following which the progress bar was stuck at 50% with the message "Please Wait" that never goes away:

When I cancelled it and then load the .mat data, the error message of "Warning: Update failed Queried world coordinate is outside the ct" came up.

Something else I noticed: when I exported the DICOM from 3D slicer, the coordinates were not changed, but the scalar type changed from "int" to "short". Could it be that matRad only reads int values?
