Syntax highlight do not always work

I noticed since a while now that sometimes the syntax highlighting do not work (but can't find a reproducer yet).

What happens is that

1. I have a Java Editor open and syntax coloring is all fine
2. Then I edit the code (e.g. adding a space at end of line)
3. This suddenly makes some (but not all) blocks of code render without any highlights
4. Save the file and often coloring is back
5. In some cases the problem persist and only close/open the editor helps

I just wanted to let people know about this to probably share ideas how one can find out more details or if others have seen such issues already.
