Hi ehrishirajsharma Rishiraj Sharma,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to report a potential security issue I have found in the software I downloaded from your GitHub repository.

Software details:

• Software name: SwiftnessX
• Repository: ehrishirajsharma/SwiftnessX: A cross-platform note-taking & target-tracking app for penetration testers.
• Version: v0.2
• Download date: 12/12/2024

Issue description: After downloading the software executable file, I scanned it using VirusTotal and got the following results:

• Bkav Pro: W32.AIDetectMalware
• CrowdStrike Falcon: Win/grayware_confidence_60% (D)

These results indicate that the file might contain malware or grayware, which could pose a risk to users.

Virus Total: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/9631d54749e0c7bfd48e5bed238fa784e3bab85ba904ccb0d728129c3d8256c1/detection

Steps taken:

  1. I downloaded the executable file from the GitHub repository.
  2. I scanned the file using VirusTotal.
  3. I got the results mentioned above.

Recommended actions:

• Review the executable file to confirm if it contains malware or grayware.
• Consider performing a code cleanup and a recompile of the executable.
• Inform users about any updates or fixes made.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and remain available to provide any additional information that may be useful.

Best regards,

J0tta
